In 2004, Pete Garbowski was working at a digital marketing agency in Detroit when he pitched a client on selling beef jerky online. The client passed on the idea but Pete believed in the idea and started it as a side hustle. In 2016, he made that side hustle his main job and today sells beef jerky online, in retail stores, wholesale, and has an exclusive with the LA Kings and Staples Center.
Along the way, Pete bought his own meat processing plant in order to control their own product, found his current partners - known as his "Black Ops Team", and is looking at the bigger picture in the meat industry... owning the whole supply chain in the near future.
It all started in a garage...
The demand caught on quickly and needing to expand outside of fulfilling orders in his garage, he looked for a fulfillment center. In doing so, he found a location and saw the front of the space not being utilized so he transformed into a store. Sure enough, this became B.U.L.K's tasting room template. Who would of known...
Now taking over the beef jerky space.
We are all about the small wins. Launched three new products lines, available in 150 c-stores with our retail product line, tool trucks nationwide, and more sport partnerships to come in 2019.
