We wanted to stay true to the Texas roots and give you a package that the cowboys would enjoy. We manufacture this in the heart of Johnson City, Texas. This beef jerky recipe that has been around since 1968. These are mesquite smoked in a wood fire smoker for 6 hours to get the perfect dried jerky texture. Customer service

I am putting together some food products that can be stored for a long period of time and be consumed if there were an emergency. I ordered 6 bags. The order arrived and 3 of the bags vacuum seal was broken and there was air in the pkg. I called the company and explained the situation to the person that answered the phone. She said it was normal and wouldn’t have any affect on the shelf life. My background is in meat processing and packaging for 20 years. In the industry it’s called a leaker. The person I spoke with at the company didn’t care and didn’t care to help, making it my problem. I did open one of the leakers and tried it. It was decent but very dry. This is the third email that I’ve received asking me to leave a review, otherwise I wouldn’t have left this. I’m sure it was random but half of the order leaked. You’d think the company would at least replace what was bad without question.
