Round cuts come the rear leg of the cow. This makes for a rip and chew texture like how beef jerky was made back in the day. We wanted to stay true to the Texas roots and give you a package that the cowboys would enjoy. We manufacture this in the heart of Johnson City, Texas. This beef jerky recipe that has been around since 1968. These are mesquite smoked in a wood fire smoker for 6 hours to get the perfect dried jerky texture. This original flavor is just beef, cure, and smoke. It melts in your mouth after a couple of chomps and you will not be disappointed.

We use only USA only meat that is locally sourced from farms in Texas. 13% of the entire cattle population in the United States resides in Texas

Ingredients: Beef, seasoning (salt, sugar, sodium nitrate), spices and flavoring.
WHY WE MADE THIS
Blends and beef jerky recipes have been around since 1963. Mixed with the mesquite smoke, the two work in perfect harmony.

Where's the beef?

I am sure this beef jerky place is great....however, I have paid for a product $50 worth or more that I still do not have and tracking was unavailable in my case (not sure if it's like that for everyone). If this does not get resolved I am sorry I cannot recommend you guys.

Great jerky

It is the type of jerky that makes your mouth water. It is dried like a good jerky should be dried , has good flavor and mainly has a good thickness for jerky and not very salty which is great

Exactly what I wanted

I grew up in the 1960's in Simi Valley, CA. most of the stores sold really good beef jerky cut into thin slabs in jars at the checkstand, there was only one kind. It was .35 cents for a big slab and it was delicious. I was sceptical when I saw "the original Beef Jerky" at bulkbeefjerky.com, but I bought samples of the brittle beef jerky & the Texas style jerky. Both taste exactly like the jerky from the 60's. Delicious, and exactly what I was looking for. (the stuff in the stores is garbage with corn syrup and chemicals.)
